As a key leader at Walmart Inc., the Director of Software Engineering will be responsible for spearheading the development and execution of advanced software strategies that support our vast retail operations. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, driving the creation of innovative applications designed to optimize our internal processes and enhance the customer experience across our global markets. The successful candidate will manage multiple agile teams, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure alignment with the company's technological goals and business objectives. Develop and execute comprehensive software strategies that align with company objectives. Lead and mentor multiple cross-functional agile development teams. Collaborate with other IT leaders to streamline systems and processes. Ensure the adoption of best practices in software quality, security, and scalability. Manage software project budgets and timelines effectively. Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into strategic planning.
