Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Development, planning, organizing, delivery and evaluation of
training activities linked to job task competence, requiring close
liaison with site technical experts across operations, maintenance,
and other technical functions.
- Act as the first point of contact for plant employees, plant
leadership and third parties for training requests and
initiatives.
- Act as point of contact during site audits for training-related
issues/update.
- Ensure our Learning Management System (Alchemy) is utilized
appropriately and training is effectively utilized and tracked in
the system. Ensure accurate recording of training registers,
certificates and results of any tests/authorizations.
- Maintain training records for all employees including agency
staff.
- Coordinates and schedules training together with plant
leadership, plant HR Business Partner and Supervisors and Line
Leads.
- Actively develop, record and maintain plant-specific SOP's and
share these with all levels of leadership inside the plant.
- Build a network inside Refresco NA Operations and HR on the
topic of training
- Assist department and line managers to identify training gaps
within their areas, and help schedule training to address these
gaps
- Work within the constraints of the plant and Refresco NA budget
for training.
- Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of
knowledge, skills, and techniques into team member work behaviors
and processes. Ensure standardization of departmental training
representatives/facilitators
- Provide training to departmental training
representatives/facilitators and technicians, in accordance with
your individual skills and experience.
- Documents procedures for training.
- Prepares and distributes training aids, instructional material,
handouts, evaluation forms and visual aids.
- Work to identify, qualify for and utilize State and Local
training grants.
- Work closely with local technical schools to ensure training
needs are met.Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field required.
- One (1) to five (5) years of relevant work experience in
training and/or Human Resources. Previous experience in a
manufacturing environment preferred.Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP and PowerPoint, experience with
Alchemy and/or other training systems is a plus.
- Proven training experience in a production environment combined
with strong project management skills.
- Understands Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing.
- Strong team player who is able to work across multiple
functions.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, results-oriented.
- Able to work under deadline pressures.
- Organized and detail-oriented, adaptable to change.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and
written.Working Conditions:
- Physical -- Continuously standing or walking. Regular
requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate
weight.
- Visual/Sensory --This position requires regular need to give
moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
- Work Environment -- Work and environment are very
repetitive.
- Mental Stress -- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines,
