Job Description:
The CT Technologist performs CT, radiology, and fluoroscopy
procedures, including portable exams, to produce high-quality
images for diagnosis across all patient ages.
Responsibilities include patient positioning, equipment
preparation, contrast administration, and ensuring safety
protocols.
Explains procedures, reviews patient history, and assists with
invasive procedures and contrast injections.
Accurately documents exam details in HIS and RIS systems, reports
critical findings, and follows safety and infection control
guidelines.
Supervises radiography students and participates in ongoing
education to maintain skills.
Requires completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program,
ARRT (R) registration, and certification within 2 years.
Must have BLS certification, Virginia licensure, and be willing to
work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Strong communication, technical, and patient care skills are
essential.
