OpisGeorgia-Pacific's Consumer Products Division is seeking qualified professionals to consider for the Operations Maintenance Coordinator (Known internal as an Operations Maintenance Gatekeeper) position supporting the "Wet End" of the mill.
This position reports directly to the Reliability Leader and will be responsible for the long-term
asset care in the Pulp department.
The successful candidate will be the leader of overall asset care (practices, principles, and discipline) of this area. This role provides strategic direction to the area through the application of the Market Based Management - (MBM) framework and our Guiding Principles.What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Responsible for prioritizing, and manage notifications, ensuring the work adds value, and is aligned with the department goals
  • Drive reliability and asset care within the department
  • Support operations to ensure prompt completion of projects
  • Manage the forecast for routine and major expense
  • Set priorities and communicate plans for executing weekly and outage maintenance
  • Manage and prioritize all SAP notifications
  • Manage loss-time allocations for the department
  • Work with the team to review and analyze loss analysis and asset tracking data to identify equipment reliability and performance issues (gap analysis) and develop improvement plans
  • Help develop long-term reliability and asset strategies
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, performance leader, maintenance team members, and department leaders on critical equipment strategies
  • Ensure reliability activities are scheduled, based on resource availability and priority
  • Review & prioritize reliability issues with the manufacturing engineers and the reliability leader
  • Identify the need for Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), initiate and lead/or participate in RCFA's (Unplanned events, for example)
  • Providing technical support on both capital and non-capital projectsThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Five or more years of experience working within a manufacturing operation
    • Experience leading and facilitating meetings
    • Experience using SAPWhat Will Put You Ahead
      • Bachelor's Degree or higher
      • Experience within a mechanical or electrical maintenance role
      • Experience leading and facilitating meetings
      • Experience evaluating and categorizing loss-time data
      • Experience within a pulp and paper manufacturing facility
      • Experience using Microsoft Project
      • Previous experience within a Gatekeeper or Asset Availability Leader role
