Deliver a variety of over 150,000 food and food-related products directly to our diverse clientele ranging from family-owned eateries to large national chains. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of fresh and high-quality food products within your local area, contributing directly to the success and operational excellence of our company. Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck on daily local routes. Load, handle, and deliver food and food-related products to various customer locations securely and efficiently. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your truck and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of delivery routes, times, and signatures using electronic systems. Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers to update on delivery status and handle any immediate issues. Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines in conducting tasks and prevent any damages or losses. Strong driving skills and familiarity with local routes. Good physical condition to manage loading and unloading of goods. Excellent time management skills to adhere to scheduled delivery times. Ability to use electronic devices for routing and tracking. Basic maintenance knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting. Effective communication skills for customer interaction and paperwork.
