Walmart Inc., a leading global retailer, is seeking a Backend Chatbot Software Engineer to join our IT department. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining our chatbot systems to enhance the shopping experience for millions of our customers daily. As part of our team, you'll work in a fast-paced, innovative environment to integrate advanced machine learning and natural language processing technologies into our extensive IT infrastructure. Develop and maintain scalable and robust backend services for chatbot applications. Integrate AI and NLP technologies to enhance the functionality and user experience of chatbots. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify chatbot use-cases and implement system responses. Ensure consistency and maintainability of codebase through documentation and adherence to coding standards. Monitor performance of chatbots and make iterative improvements to system architecture. Stay updated with advancements in AI, NLP, and chatbot technologies for potential adoption. Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js Experience with NLP and machine learning frameworks Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services Knowledge of database management and cache technology Ability to write high quality, maintainable, and modular code Experience with version control systems like Git Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Python or Java programming AI or machine learning certifications (optional but preferred)
