________________________________________ The Advanced Practice
Clinician provides care via telehealth five days per week and
serves on an as-needed basis as support to the centralized
follow-up team. PPGP requires all staff members, including those
who do not serve in patient-facing roles at our health centers, to
work onsite at one of our facilities once per week to facilitate
meetings and promote teamwork. As a result, the telehealth APC work
schedule allows for work to be performed four days per week at a
remote work site and one day per week onsite at the health center
closest to their residence. The APC will function as a provider of
medical services for PPGP patients seeking remote care. This
position provides direct care to patients seeking family planning,
gender affirming care, and primary care. The APC works to assess
the clinical needs of patients, in compliance with our medical
standards & guidelines, including ordering, interpreting, and
recording results of clinical tests. Prescribes medications and
makes recommendations for other forms of treatment, including birth
control. As a member of the follow-up team, the APC works in
conjunction with providers across the affiliate to ensure
continuity of high-quality patient care by overseeing, executing
and managing the follow up plans of care for all services provided
at PPGP, thus ensuring an excellent patient experience. An
unencumbered multi-state APC license is required for this position
to allow for provision of services in the states in which PPGP
operates; if APC does not currently have MSL, one must be obtained
within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions –
Patient Care Fully committed to Planned Parenthood’s mission to
support the rights of individuals regarding family planning and
reproductive health care. Provides quality health care services
including exams, diagnosis, treatment, education and counseling for
clients in accordance with PPGP protocols and our Medical Standards
& Guidelines. Serves as a medical resource for other licensed and
non-licensed staff, as well as providing leadership in all aspects
of comprehensive clinical services. Secures a complete health
history, including gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical,
sexual, family health, and psychosocial; and records findings
accurately and succinctly. When applicable, performs physical
examinations, with special emphasis on the reproductive system,
including breast examinations, pelvic examination, cancer screening
tests, diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and
other types of more specialized procedures as may be indicated by
medical policy. After observation and approval, provides direct
medical care to patients for all core services, including but not
limited to family planning services. Participates in accomplishing
performance metrics and customer-focused goals. Provides referrals
and assures follow-up. Performs, orders and interprets diagnostic
studies as indicated and permitted by affiliate medical protocols.
Consults with Associate Medical Director and other Clinicians to
ensure compliance with standards and guidelines, including the
provision of telehealth services via synchronous and asynchronous
methods, as permissible. Provides relevant health instructions to
include family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and
principles of health promotion and maintenance. Essential Job
Functions – Follow-Up Role (PRN) Run daily follow-up orts from the
electronic medical records system (EMR) to identify patients
requiring urgent follow-up actions. Address urgent follow-up plans
on the follow-up report with a focus on ER Referrals and Early
Pregnancy Complications. Review report to assess all other urgent
patient needs. Address non-urgent follow-up plans that the APC is
responsible for including abnormal paps, positive syphilis tests,
HIV results, and colpo/leep results. Review EMR results baskets of
providers in all state daily to sign-off on all pap, colpos/LEEP,
syphilis/HIV, and beta HCG test results Start and continue
follow-up plans when needed Notify patients (phone call/letter) of
abnormal test results and initiate treatment Fax referrals/records
to health department/specialist when needed Document patient care
and update follow-up plan in EHR Update care paths when needed
Generate patient letters based on PPGP Centralized Follow-up Team
Policy Task to Follow-up Support to mail letters and notify health
department of positive test results Task Follow-up Nursing when
needed, including to schedule a colpo/LEEP or F/U MAB Ultrasound
appointment Work collaboratively with the Centralized Follow Up
(CFU) Team and attend CFU team meetings Ensure compliance with PPFA
Medical Standards & Guidelines, and all PPGP medical protocols and
policies in treatment and referral of patients. Requirements
Required Education and Experience Advanced Practice Clinician,
either NP or PA licensed or able to be licensed in AR/MO/KS/OK.
License in all states should be obtained by 30 days of hire.
Previous experience in Family Planning and Women’s Health.
Knowledge of CDC STD treatment guidelines and management of pap
abnormalities. Knowledge of management of early pregnancy
complications. Preferred Education and Experience Master’s degree
is appropriate for licensure. Three year's experience in Family
Planning. Experience working independently. Experience in gender

standards. $105,000 - $113,000 a year Work week is 37.5 hours
.Annual Salary Range is $105,000-$113,000 If selected, internal
candidates with pay above $113,000 will be required to take a
