Job Description:

OB Nurse - Labor and Delivery Schedule: - Starts no later than 02/09/2026 or 02/16/2026. - Facility can cancel 1 shift every other week. Assignment Details: - 15-17 births per month. Requirements: - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification. - Fetal Heart Monitoring certification. Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide care for laboring patients, including triage and mother-baby care. - Collaborate with LPNs and other team members to support patient needs. - Perform initial assessments and validate any assessments completed by LPNs. - Assist with EFM evaluations and patient positioning. - Be prepared to request support from the Transfer Coordinator in case of emergencies. - Float to Med/Surg if needed; assist with vitals and medication administration if not comfortable taking Med/Surg patients. Compliance / Notes: - May assist LPNs with documentation and care tasks, while LPNs cannot triage or perform initial assessments.
