This 13-week night shift contract position offers the opportunity to care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry areas, ensuring high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety. The role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership, and effective delegation skills to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care. Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the Nursing Process following state and hospital guidelines Monitor, assess, and manage patients in the Stepdown and Telemetry units Demonstrate critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in anticipating patient needs and planning care Delegate tasks effectively to nursing personnel based on their skills and competencies Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training Provide leadership and supervision for assigned staff during shifts Float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed Qualifications and Experience Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in the state Minimum 2 years of experience in Stepdown nursing Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Ability to work night shifts (6:45 pm - 7:15 am), with every other weekend required Adaptable to floating between Stepdown and Telemetry/MS units Must live at least 50 miles from the facility Additional Contract Details Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Scrub color: Gray Candidates must submit complete information, including home address and social security number, to be considered.
