Job Description:
Job Title: Long Term Care Pharmacist Pay: $64.27 an hr |
Bi-weekly Job Type: Onsite in Tulsa, OK Shift Options: Mon-Friday
9a-6p with OT Must be flexible: alternating on call weekends and
during the week Long Term Care Pharmacist Overview: Accept and
dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
Ensure that the supply of medicines is within legal requirements.
Verify that prescribed medications are suitable for patients.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy
files. Provide patient counseling on medications, including dosage,
side effects, and drug interactions. Offer services such as smoking
cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices. Compound
medications for external or internal use, following established
procedures. Prepare sterile solutions according to proper aseptic
techniques. Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and
clerks. Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and
medical supplies. Identify and address patients' drug-related
problems, communicating effectively with healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and
pharmacy interns.
