Job Description:

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join theirdynamic team at their Occupational Medicine Office. As a medical assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our patients and supporting our healthcare professionals. Responsibilities: Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations and minor procedures. Accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Collect blood samples for lab tests and ensure proper labeling and handling. Prepare patients for occupational health assessments and screenings. Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering occupational health needs. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. Handle phone inquiries, address patient concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Manage billing and payments related to occupational health services. Occupational Health Services: Collaborate with employers and employees to facilitate pre-employment screenings, drug testing, and vaccinations. Administer immunizations and maintain vaccination records. Assist with workers' compensation cases and return-to-work evaluations. Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed. Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies, ensuring availability for daily operations. Maintain inventory of vaccines, medications, and other necessary items. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is advantageous. Proficiency in medical terminology, data entry, and electronic health records. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with patients. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
