We Are Hiring
ParamedicDepartment: Emergency DepartmentSchedule: Full-Time, Night shift. 7pm-7am. 3, 12-hour shifts. 36 hours per week. Weekend rotation. Some holidays required.Location: Ascension St. John Broken Arrow
The Med-Surg unit provides care for a wide variety of patients with medical conditions, the need for telemetry, or surgical proceduresSt. John Broken Arrow, opened in 2010, is a six-story, 44-bed hospital. St. John Broken Arrow offers a wide range of healthcare services, including emergency care, orthopedic services, sports medicine, a regionally renowned joint replacement center, general surgery, cardiology, outpatient services and all-digital diagnostic imaging services. A 100,000-square-foot medical office building connects to the hospital.

What You Will Do
Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care and evaluation of patients.

  • Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction and in collaboration with a physician and/or Registered Nurse.
  • Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate.
  • Provide population specific education to the patient and family about the patient's illness and therapeutic interventions.
  • Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public.
    What You Will Need
    Licensure / Certification / Registration:
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
    • One or more of the following required:
      • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Paramedic credentialed from the Oklahoma EMS Personnel Licensure obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Advanced Life Support preferred.
      • Drivers License credentialed from the Oklahoma Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.
      • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.Education:
        • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
