ChampionX is hiring a Technical Product Manager I that combines a solid background in modern technologies with a product mindset to advance the development of our next generation digital platform for commercial and internal business operations applications. This role is responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders, the development team, and the Senior Technical Product Manager to effectively define and deliver technical solutions. As a player on the technical product team, a Technical Product Manager directly contributes to the elaboration of requirements for implementation by Development and Engineering.This role is a key member of the cross-functional digital product team working side-by-side with business stakeholders, product managers, developers, and engineers from discovery to delivery of solutions to market problems and internal operational needs.What's In It For You: -

    • Analyze customer and business requirements to understand and communicate the underlying intent.
    • Guide the incremental delivery of a complex modernization project, understanding the technical implications of features and how to break down into effective stories for development.
    • Engage technical teams to deliver features with minimal ambiguity and clear acceptance criteria; include/exclude the right set of user stories to deliver the most impact.
    • Collaborate with the product team and business stakeholders to translate needs and requirements into user stories that are clearly defined with acceptance criteria for effective development.
    • Work closely with development teams to ensure that product requirements are implemented.
    • Build and leverage deep capability-oriented business domain expertise, product, and technical knowledge to translate business problems into effective requirements, and insights.
    • Keep abreast of emerging development and technology trends in the market.
    • Drive the pace and quality of decisions on the software delivery team by identifying problems and gaps, facilitating decision making and guiding the delivery of high-quality solutions.
    • Under guidance from Product Management, facilitate prioritization activities including management of trade-offs between cost, schedule, and user benefit.
    • Partner with UX to create delightful user experiences that drive adoption of commercial and internal applications.
    • End to end ownership of product delivery throughout its lifecycle for internal operations applications and systems.
    • Work with Product Management and Development to identify tools and processes that improve effectiveness and efficiency of collaboration.
    • As required, perform the role of product owner in key Agile/Scrum development projects.
    • 25% travel for in-person collaboration with geographically distributed teams.Minimum Qualifications
      • You are driven to influence your own development and looking for an opportunity to pursue your interests across different products, business units and geographies. You bring to the team the following competencies:
      • Associates' degree in the fields of computer science, information systems or engineering.
      • 0-3 years of experience in product management (PM, BA, PO) working with cross-functional teams delivering software solutions.
      • Demonstrated experience working successfully with cross-functional teams to deliver software
      • Experience in (one of) Agile/Scrum, DevOps, Application Modernization, Platform Engineering or Software Development.
      • Proficiency with requirement elaboration and management techniques (e.g. user stories, story mapping) with demonstrated experience understanding and discussing technical designs and opportunities with technical team members and partners.
      • Ability to ask the right questions and turn the answers into software solutions
      • Flexibility and adaptability to change course when new information presents itself
      • Demonstrated ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and a business functional point of view
      • Openness to contradictory opinions and flexible in your thinking
      • A willingness to jump into projects and complex environments to make sense of ambiguous details in multiple domains
      • Strong organizational skills, comfortable in taking ownership, and able to work both on a team and independently as a hands-on individual contributor.
      • Strong facilitation, prioritization, and influencing skills
      • Strong communication skills, listens and shares informationPreferred Qualifications
        • Pragmatic Institute training and certifications are a plus.
