Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who can operate
both manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines,
boring machines, and grinders to machine plastic or metal work
pieces. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work to
exacting tolerances, determine speeds and feeds to produce quality
products, and visualize finished products. The role may also
involve functioning as a final inspector for finished manufactured
products. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and design
sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
Perform machine setups to obtain close tolerances, fitting, and
alignment of machined parts. Obtain required inspections on first
pieces of a run according to prescribed procedures and perform
inspections on work-in-progress using a wide variety of measuring
devices. Select appropriate cutting tools, attachments,
accessories, and materials to be used on machines. Acquire raw
materials, supplies, tools, etc., when necessary. Inspect machinery
for any needed repairs and perform minor repairs within expertise.
Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any
defects and ensure units conform with predetermined specifications;
adjust machine controls to resolve production errors. Utilize
Geometric Dimension & Tolerance as called out on print. Operate
fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing
processes. Essential Skills 3 years of CNC experience. 3 years of
experience with CNC mills, lathes. 3 years of manufacturing/shop
experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent mechanical skills. Excellent organizational skills and
attention to detail. Good math skills. Proficient with operating a
computer and internal software. Efficient and excellent time
management skills. Ability to operate various types of machine
tools to perform progressive machining. Ability to read blueprints
and plans. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a union
shop environment is a plus. Experience with quality inspections and

the atmosphere is welcoming and supportive. Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Jeffersonville, IN. Pay
and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54080.00 -
$54080.00/yr. Due to their union benefits do not kick in until
