Job Description:
Position: Systems Engineer Location: Stillwater, OK 74074 –
onsite Duration: Long term Visa: USC OR GC on C2C Need full system
engineering experience in development of large and complex
products, fine mechanical and control subsystems. DOD system
engineering experience is a plus. DOD (Department of Defense) DOD
system engineering Systems Engineer Systems engineering is a key
component of developing new products for Chemical, Biological and
Nuclear detection/identification. The Systems Engineer will play a
key role on project teams to perform product design and testing of
integrated detection/identification related products on a DoD
reconnaissance vehicle providing increased situational awareness
and detection for battlefield hazard visualization. The Systems
Engineer will be responsible for various aspects of the product
design to meet various commercial and military standards. The
Systems Engineer will work in a multi-disciplinary and
geographically dispersed project team, including engineers from
other disciplines and scientists/chemists. Possible examples of
designs include development of novel vehicle integrated
sensor/detector mounting, storage, and deployment solutions,
operator HMI mechanical solutions, stepper motor and other
electromechanical positional controls, drone and other unmanned
vehicle integration. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Aiding
Senior Systems Engineer or Chief engineer role, whenever an
opportunity appears, responsible for leading full system technical
activities on a medium-to-large product or program development
through complete life cycle. Responsible for receiving and
translating customer’s needs and requirements to internal
engineering teams. Lead technical efforts on program SRR, PDR, and
CDR. ensure the program execution follows system engineering
processes. Responsible for providing technical direction and path
forward to a multi-discipline engineering team. Responsible for
technical compliancy and successful delivery of the CR&D
program products to customers. Responsible for creating and
managing project and product specifications. Oversee and ensure key
subsystems specification flow-down. Working closely with
program/project management, ensure the program/project compliance
to the specification and on-time delivery within budget. Make
significant contributions to technical presentations and technical
reports, analysis, and proposals to customers. Create
specifications and test plans for systems with emphasis on sensor
technology, optical systems, and system integration and test. Flow
down system specifications to subsystems. Responsible for leading
integration, testing, and qualification efforts for new and
existing CBRN equpment. Develop all necessary test plans, perform
data collection, analyze data, and document results. Working as an
individual contributor SME in expert areas Provide business
development support in the areas of new customer requirements
analysis, proposal writing, sensor performance modeling and
fielding technical inquiries. Provide systems engineering support
to manufacturing, production and customer service groups as needed
in support of existing products. Take a leading role in
troubleshooting technical problems. Contribute to Intellectual
Property development and/or author and/or make substantial
contributions to technical papers. Lead and contribute to new
technology investigations, system trade studies, technical surveys,
competitive product analyses, as requested. Job Qualifications: BS
or MS or Ph.D. in engineering. Systems Engineer, 5 years direct
Systems Engineering experience. Full system engineering experience
in development of large and complex products, fine mechanical and
control subsystems. DOD system engineering experience is a plus.
Strong experience and capability in leading or working with a
multi-discipline team on new product development from conceptual
stage to PDR, CDR and to LRIP. Demonstrated experience in
developing, maintaining, and tracking specification and
requirements compliance matrix, risk identification and risk
mitigation. Experience in system modeling, analysis, design, and
troubleshooting. Capable of understanding in electrical circuit
schematics and mechanical models and drawings, as well as software
architecture. Experience in leading or participating
multidisciplinary engineering efforts (Mechanical, Thermal,
electrical, firmware/software, etc.). Good communications skills
and experience presenting to senior management. Good persuasive
writing skills. A great collaborator.
