Overview
Element has an opportunity for an Project Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities



  • Apply project leadership, mechanical engineering design and testing, electrical controls, and hands on skills to test new product development and product improvement initiatives


  • Accurate project budgeting, project delivery and technical report writing that conform to A2LA 17025, QS-9001 requirements


  • Instrumentation experience measuring and recording using data acquisition: temperature, flow, pressure, torque, load, strain gauges, linear-position, acceleration, & angular position


    Skills / Qualifications


    • B. S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent


    • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical test or design experience


    • FEA experience is a plus


    • Previous leadership experience


    • Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements
