DescriptionProcess Engineer
Georgia-Pacific Consumer Operations is seeking qualified
professionals to consider for a Process Engineer role supporting
the Dry End Division at the Pro and Consumer Products Operation
located in Muskogee, OK. The Muskogee Mill is an integrated Tissue
and Towel manufacturing operation. This position will be involved
with increasing the effectiveness of the environmental engineering
group by improving reliability, work processes, equipment
performance capabilities. This position will work closely with
operations, reliability, and maintenance departments in the
development of long-term asset strategies. The Process Engineer
will report to the Continuous Improvement Leader within our
consumer products manufacturing operation located in Muskogee, OK.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the ability to
challenge the status quo to facilitate continuous improvement;
collaborate across roles and diverse groups, gather and share
feedback; stay current in best practices and be a continuous
learner; assist with routine and annual outages for asset bases;
have strong communication, presentation, planning and
organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize;
excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strategic
thinking skills; analytical problem solving skills and ability to
troubleshoot using mechanical aptitude. What You Will Do In Your
Role - Supporting and implementing processes or trials to improve
adherence to quality standards or new product commercialization. -
Developing and implementing quality control systems. - Monitoring
and analyzing quality performance on production lines. -
Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement
controls and improvements. - Ensuring that workflows, processes,
and products comply with safety regulations and NQS standards. -
Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues
related to quality non-conformance. - Developing corrective
actions, solutions, and improvements. - Reviewing SKU product
specifications and processes. - Leading continuous improvement
within the manufacturing environment. - Mapping and analyzing
processes to identify ways to reduce waste, improve workflow, and
otherwise increase equipment efficiency. - Documenting processes,
instructions, recommendations, and key metrics. - Analyzing
equipment and safety specifications to provide productivity and
quality related recommendations. - Support of process operations
through both the application of optimization, data analytics and
general troubleshooting of the processes - Overseeing and improving
key process elements, including understanding equipment operation,
and developing process to improve equipment operating envelope and
escalation procedures - Leading or supporting continuous
improvement efforts alongside dry end process team - Support of the
mill safety program, both through personal conduct and performance
of safety audits - Support of the mill OSI PI data historian and
its users The Experience You Will BringMinimum Qualifications: -
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field. - Strong communication
and interpersonal skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills. - Excellent project management skills. - Working knowledge
of Continuous Improvement tools and application - Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel - Experience with data analytics and statistics
What Will Put You AheadPreferred Qualifications: - Preferred degree
in chemical or industrial engineering. - Experience in Pulp and
Paper Industry. - Experience working in a Manufacturing
Environment. - Experience with Excel VBA coding. - Experience with
OSI soft PI.
