Job Description:
POSITION TITLE: Licensed School Based Mental Health Therapist
FLSA: Exempt REPORTS TO: Principal and Student Services TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: 190 Days and benefits will be specified in the employee
contract. Contract will be prorated based on the actual start date.

safety. QUALIFICATIONS One the following credentials is required,
LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LP, LPEI and/or other appropriate credentials as
outlined by ADE Criteria. Have and maintain a valid Arkansas
license for one of the above credentials. Have and maintain a valid
Arkansas Driver’s License. Have and maintain professional
liability. Knowledge and experience implementing evidence-based
mental health interventions for students experiencing behavioral,
social and emotional challenges in school. JOB SUMMARY Support
students’ learning, social development and mental behavioral health
using problem solving, assessment, and the delivery of
evidence-based interventions. Collaborate and consult with
educators, families and other professionals to help create safe,
healthy and supportive learning environments for all students.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Consults with teachers and administrators
regarding specific students and/or groups or students, who are on
our caseload with parental consent. Works with various school teams
to support multi-tiered systems of support for all students within
their assigned schools, who are on our caseload with parental
consent. Conducts intake assessments to track progress by use of
informal and non-standardized evaluation techniques. Counsels
students individually, with families, and in small groups, when
appropriate. Provides crisis intervention support for individual
students, employees, and school communities when needed. Provides
training for school staff members and parents on a wide variety of
topics that impact student learning in school including, but not
limited to child development and effective parenting practices.
Assists with school-wide initiatives to enhance students’
social-emotional and leadership skills. Maintains professional
skills through attending relevant in-service trainings, reading
current literature and professional memberships. Performs related
duties as assigned. Develop treatment plans with goals and
objectives for youth, families and service team members. Provides
appropriate feedback to assist education staff in the
implementation of treatment/behavior plans. Develops own schedule.
Has a positive attitude and effective communication skills. Focused
on continuous improvement and able to develop program
recommendations. Maintain emotional control under stress. Must
maintain a constant dialogue and communications relationship with
administration, faculty, and parents so as to better meet the needs
of each student. Maintains prompt and regular attendance Maintain
confidentiality. Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive
professional working relationships with others Maintains emotional
control under stress Present and communicate in a professional
manner. Attend trainings as required. Other duties as assigned by

RESPONSIBILITIES Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds
occasionally. Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking,
sitting, kneeling, occasional reaching above the head or the
