Job Description Job Description Estimator - Residential Construction About the Role - Relocation Assistance If Needed! We're looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our preconstruction team. In this role, you'll develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and takeoffs that drive profitability and strategic growth. You'll collaborate across design, land development, and construction teams to ensure projects launch with confidence and precision. What You'll Do Review construction documents, designs, and specifications for full scope comprehension Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates at various design stages Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering options Develop bid scopes, instructions, and solicitation schedules for vendors/trade partners Analyze subcontractor bids, clarify discrepancies, and negotiate pricing Maintain historical cost data, unit pricing, and vendor benchmarks Present cost updates in preconstruction meetings and support leadership in decision-making What We're Looking For Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (or equivalent estimating experience) 5 years of estimating experience on residential, commercial, or site development projects over $7M Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PlanSwift Ability to read architectural plans and perform detailed CSI-division takeoffs Strong analytical, mathematical, and cost modeling skills Knowledge of market pricing, construction methods, material lead times, and labor availability Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage competing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines Why Join Us Work on high-value projects that shape communities Be part of a collaborative, innovative team Relocation assistance available to support your transition Opportunity to influence estimating standards and company-wide practice Benefits 401k With 4% Match Relocation Assistance if Needed Medical Dental Vision Annual Bonus Opportunity Opportunity to Join a Thriving Company! - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
