Job Description:
System One has partnered with a large health system seeking a
skilled Data Architect to join their dynamic team on a permanent,
direct hire basis. In this pivotal role, you will review and
analyze our current data infrastructures, plan future databases,
and implement innovative solutions to effectively store and manage
data for our organization and its users. You will play a crucial
role in designing, developing, testing, and implementing processes
that pull data from various source systems and integrate it into
our data warehouse. This position is a full-time, permanent role to
work on a remote basis with access to full benefits including
health, dental, vision, PTO and retirement plan. Successful
candidates must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the
U.S. without sponsorship. This position is not open to
corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting
arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand quality and
performance improvement agendas, translating business requirements
into efficient databases, data warehouses, and data streams.
Identify and establish data pipelines from internal and external
data sources, working closely with product owners to ensure
efficient data retrieval.
Develop new data models and implement tables and supporting objects
within the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
Automate and maintain metadata to enhance the navigability of the
EDW and promote effective data governance practices.
Monitor the usage and performance of the EDW, proactively
addressing any developing issues.
Implement new data integrations and support modifications to
existing integrations.
Investigate performance issues related to queries and Extract,
Transform, Load (ETL) processes, initiating solutions to optimize
database performance.
Provide advanced support to data analysts, employing innovative
data visualization techniques and advanced SQL methods.
Develop and conduct end-user training and education on the EDW and
its applications across various organizational areas.
Contribute to the definition and adherence to the EDW team's
guiding principles regarding architecture, design, development, and
customer interaction.
Interface with IT teams to ensure the EDW environments are current,
backed up, and scalable for future growth.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer
Science, or a related field. Five years of enterprise-level
experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably
within a healthcare environment.
Skills: Proficient in Cloud/Big Data solutions and data
management/governance concepts.
Expertise in data architecture concepts, including data modeling,
workflow management, ETL/ELT, and real-time streaming.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure/Synapse/Power BI, SSIS, Epic EHR,
or Workday ERP.
Strong understanding of data governance principles and best
practices.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability
to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical
stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and
the ability to solve both business and technical problems.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal
supervision.
